Roberto Lacorte

Passion, determination and foresight are the cornerstones of the sporting and entrepreneurial activities of Roberto Lacorte, the man behind the FlyingNikka project. Born in 1968 in Pisa, married with two children, co-founder with his brother Andrea of Pharmaceutical company, PharmaNutra S.p.A., of which he is deputy chairman and CEO, Lacorte is a well-rounded sportsman who can win equally at the wheel of a racing car as at the helm of a sailing boat.

Owner and helmsman of very successful boats, starting with the legendary Vismara/Mills 62 RC SuperNikka with which he was four-times winner of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in the Mini Maxi category; inventor of regattas such as the 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar (real time winner in 2015); and established motorsports' driver in the field of World Endurance, where he counts four participations at the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, once arriving in the first ten; in 2020 Lacorte won the prestigious award of Owner/helmsman of the year assigned by the Italian Sailing Federation where he dominated the first edition of the Persico 69F Cup at the helm of the little, all-blue FlyingNikka69F, bearing the colours of its sponsor, Cetilar, a circuit he will participate in again in 2021 with Enrico Zennaro and Lorenzo Bressani.

Thanks to his passion for sailing boats, inherited from his father, Cosimo, Lacorte learned the trade, in all roles, aboard important boats, before setting out on his climb to success, with his wife Luisa Cognetti, fitting out, and personally helming boats such as the Vismara 34 Asell, the 47’ Nikka and the famous SuperNikka, a boat that has made him one of the best owner/helmsman. Chairman of the Pisa Repubblica Marinara Yacht Club and Cadet at the Naval Academy of Livorno, Lacorte has an insuppressible passion for the sea and for sailing, in all shapes and sizes; his enthusiasm is absolutely contagious and is the main driving force behind all his competition activity.
